Kerosene is a plus-size model, creative professional and outspoken advocate for self-love and empowerment through expression.
A lifelong lover of monster movies and subculture fashion, Kerosene’s path to the spotlight began in 2002 when she was discovered at a goth club in her hometown of amsterdam, NL. Having grown up bullied and unseen by traditional beauty standards, stepping in front of the camera felt radical—but also right. At the time, plus-size models were rarely visible outside the back pages of home shopping catalogs. Kerosene set out to change that.
Trained as a make-up artist, her eye for detail and style translated seamlessly into modeling work. Her early shoots fused horror, pinup, and alternative fashion, evolving into a versatile portfolio spanning glamour, beauty, editorial, and runway. Over the years, she’s worked internationally with designers, photographers, and publications that celebrate bold, unconventional beauty.
Her film and TV appearances include music videos, talk shows, and a featured role in the award-winning 2018 documentary A Perfect 14, which explores body diversity in the modeling industry.
But modeling is just part of the story.
A survivor of child abuse and sexual assault, Kerosene has made it her mission to promote healing through self-expression. Her platform is a space for visibility, honesty, and the celebration of bodies that don’t conform to narrow ideals. She speaks openly about reclaiming beauty, sensuality and confidence after trauma—and invites others to do the same.
Now based in British Columbia’s Fraser Valley, Kerosene continues to work both in front of and behind the camera as a model, content creator, creative director and industry mentor.
Her message is simple, but powerful: You are worthy, exactly as you are.
